Offers for Regular Customers

The best marketing tip for the 4th quarter is targeting your already established customer base with special offers on social media and through email marketing. Moreover, tailor offers with a time limit, which will create a sense of urgency and drive them to take action.

Client Appreciation Gifts

One way to show your clients and vendors your appreciation is to send them either holiday cards or small gifts. Get cre

ative. You can show your gratitude at Thanksgiving, the start of the new year, or for Valentine’s Day. Not all gifts need to be given in December.

If you’re planning to send out gift items or holiday cards, try to purchase your items as early as possible to have them sent out in time for the holidays. Planning is key!

Website Audit

Do a quick run through of your website, and check to see if all of your links are working properly.

Remove the sales and promotions if you’re no longer running the campaigns.

Clean up any irrelevant comments from the comments section of your blog, remember to remove the spam-like comments.

Delete any services that you’re no longer offering.

Take Advantage of the Holiday Season

The holidays round out the fourth quarter and for many companies, this is where the most money is made. For small businesses, take this time to highlight what makes small businesses better for holiday shopping. Providing customers with great deals or promotions should start Thanksgiving weekend. Think “Black Friday” Specials, Shop Small Saturday, and Cyber Monday. The key is to plan ahead & promote.

Do Some Special Math

Before you start planning your marketing and advertising for the 4th Quarter, take out your calculator. Start analyzing your advertising, sales and profit during the last fourth quarters of a few previous years. Figure out what worked and what didn’t, what did you sell the most of and when did you sell it. Look at your sales ending last years Q3, and analyze if it makes sense to push specials for your current Fourth Quarter.

But what does summertime mean for your business? Some small businesses find that summer brings a seasonal lull in sales and general business activity. Others find that the warm weather causes business to heat up. How do you take control of what will happen in your business?

The bottom line is warmer weather puts everyone in a relaxed, laid back mood, myself included. I work half days on Wednesdays and Fridays all summer long so I can head to the beach and enjoy. That being said, my beach time isn’t slowing down my business efforts. In fact, I’m heating things up in my business this summer!

When it comes to your business’s marketing strategy, the last thing you should be doing is relaxing your approach. If you’re attracting fewer customers and have extra time, use the time to update your marketing strategy, website content and SEO to put yourself in a strong position for the fall. Try the following tactics for the next 3 months:

Create a special offer

Just because sales can slowdown during summer that doesn’t mean you can’t add a little boost to your revenue. Create a special offer or a summer discount on some of your most popular products or services and promote it on social media and to your email list.

Learn a new skill

As sales slowdown, take the summer months as an opportunity to learn a new skill that will help you further your business growth. Learn a new social media platform, take some design training on Canva, get really good at creating video content or take on online course to learn something new.

Have a giveaway

This one sounds like a run-of-the-mill marketing technique, but the reason why it’s so popular is because it works. Giveaways and contests are a great way to get people excited and involved, all while interacting with you. If you can work a summer theme into a giveaway, that’s a perfect way to capitalize on the season! Giving away some of your products or services is a great way for potential new clients and customers to sample your what you have to offer.

Step up your networking and business events.

With many of the COVID 19 restrictions being lifted, this is a great time to get back meeting people face to face. This is something you should do whether business is booming this summer or whether you’re subject to a seasonal lull. If you can’t find any in person events in your area, put one together yourself. Invite people who you want to connect and network with. Think of a central location to make it accessible for most people. This is a great time to reach out to your network and plan something fun.

Build on your summer momentum for the rest of the year.

Don’t let the momentum of summer marketing campaigns fade away in fall and winter. If you’ve been diligently adding new names to your customer database, continue reaching out with newsletters, special offers, promotional discounts and other activities so your small business stays fixed in the mind of your target audience year round. This will help you stay on their minds when it’s time to make a purchase.

He created the term while writing his book, Think and Grow Rich. A book that becomes one of the most sought-after reads for any business owner or entrepreneur.

A “Mastermind” is just a fancy word for a group of people with like-minded interests that meet and talk about business. Entrepreneurial life can be lonely, as many of you have experienced from time to time. As much as we love speaking to our friends and family about our business endeavors and ideas most of them don’t understand what we do unless they share the same career path. It can be disheartening and frustrating which is why it is key to be part of a Mastermind. Meeting with like-minded entrepreneurs is essential for accountability, socialization and on outside opinion for your business.

If you have never been to or participated in a Mastermind before, it can be a bit daunting. Not knowing what to expect, share or receive from the group. Here are a few things you can expect during a Mastermind meeting:

• You share your “Wins” or “Rocks” for that week or month (depending on the frequency of your meetings)
• Each person discusses their goals and any roadblocks they had reaching those goals since the last meeting
• Each person discusses any problems they are currently having and other members brainstorm and offer ideas, advice, and words of encouragement.
• Each person sets out a goal to accomplish before the next meeting and strategies can be discussed on how to achieve this goal.

Mastermind meetings are becoming a popular staple in any business owner’s arsenal, especially after reading Think and Grow Rich. If you find yourself lacking entrepreneurial encouragement, motivation or accountability, research for Mastermind groups in your area or start one of your own. You have nothing to lose and only good things to gain!

It happens. In fact, it happens to all of us.

Feeling emotionally drained doesn’t have to derail your success and bring your momentum to a screeching halt.

In other words, our vibration, or the pattern of our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and actions, is what creates our reality. Our inner world creates the outer world. Everything you think, say, or feel becomes your reality.

As Oprah would say ”What I know for sure is we all have control over our own emotions and our thoughts”

The trick is to identify those thoughts and feelings to realize you need to shift your vibration and get grounded before you’re stuck in the low vibrational sink hole.

Step back and ask yourself “What can I do right now to feel just a little bit better?”

When you start to feel a little better you can start to see a little clearer.

“How can I fill my cup when I have nothing left to give?” Interrupt your pattern as soon as you are aware of those feelings.

Ask yourself “what brings me joy and lights me up?” “What’s sure to put a smile on my face and make me laugh?”

There is nothing like a good laugh to improve your mood and raise your energetic state. Have some fun, it helps you forget your worries.

At times, a simple change of scenery can do wonders for your vibration.

Having something to look forward to, shifts your thoughts to the future that gives you something to be excited about.

Click here to get your FREE PDF and start writing down 30 things that bring you JOY – RIGHT NOW!

Start with simple things like your favorite music. Listening to music you love shifts your frequency by making you happy.

If music isn’t your thing try your favorite movie, a walk, a massage, bubble bath, journaling, meditation, reading, playing with your dog, fresh flowers, gardening, painting, yoga, dancing etc.

There are so many things that you can be doing to turn your vibration around!

Then move onto the bigger items that bring you joy like travel, the theater, comedy shows, concerts, adventures, skiing, trips to the beach or mountains.

It’s your unique list, dig down deep in your memory bank and take a stroll down memory lane.

Keep your list where you can see it every day to remind yourself to do these things as often as you can.

Remember you get to decide how you live your life!
Namaste

The thought of being in sales did not appeal to me and I would always say “no” and be greeted by the “well you should be, you’d be great at it!” response.

I will admit that I have categorized sales people into the three main categories, slimy car salesman, irritating infomercial salesmen and those incessant door to door salesman.

It wasn’t until I launched my own coaching business that I realized sales doesn’t have to be slimy, pushy or uncomfortable. If you’re passionate about the work you’re doing, and you feel its your souls calling then you’re providing a much-needed service to your ideal clients.

I hired a business coach in early January to help me with selling and master the one aspect of my business I couldn’t quite attain and accept myself.

I was always aware of the fact that I did not like to sell, especially if I was selling myself and my professional services. Fortunately for me, I am relentless and determined to master every aspect of my business.

Since launching my business I’ve done a lot of research and work around that subject. Just like closing a deal or posting a photo on your social media – it ignites a fire and your sales process should do the same.

A sales process needs to map to the decision process of your customers. Figure out these questions and you have your sales process.

What problem are you solving?

How will your product or service change them?

What support must be had?

What processes must be followed?

Who’s approvals must be gained?

What must happen before money goes out the door?

What feeling are you selling?

Six months ago, I decided that instead of running from the selling process, I wouldn’t. I openly admitted and accepted that fact that I didn’t like that aspect of being a business owner – opening up to my friends and colleagues or sharing articles about supporting me made me cringe.

I realize now that sales is the art of transformation and that I had to get good at empowering people to say yes to themselves and to their business. If you face it head on, it’s no longer the enemy.
